My Cousin

On Saturday me Aria and our cousin Xkzavea went with Xkzaveas mum and Pauline to Alice Through The Looking Glass. Our cousin Xkzavea was scared so Aria had to cover his eyes with his jersey and her hand.  Today he is going home. It is going to take Xkzavea and his Mum six hours to get back to Tauranga and that is where they live. In the afternoon Xkzavea and his Mum are going home.

Mum Goes To Dunedin

Today my mum went to Dunedin. She went on a plane to get to Dunedin. Tony, me and Aria needed to wake up early to drop Mum off to the airport. My mum went to Dunedin because her mum died. Today she is coming back from Dunedin. I got to talk to mum today before school.

Have you captured the beauty of the rock pool creature that you observed?

No. The crab doesn’t have that many bumps on it’s body.

How difficult was it to transfer the patterns from your observational drawing to your Batik?

Really difficult.  It was hard to draw with the wax because the wax was dripping really fast. I didn’t have enough wax in the tool that we used and most of it dripped on the cardboard.
